Unlock The Secret To Supporting Your Teen Now!

We all want to support our teens better.
How do we do this though?
I was thinking about this the other day.
The number one way to support your teen who is struggling with mental health challenges or any challenge, is:
Get help for yourself. 🌟
The most effective way to support your teen is by supporting yourself.
There are numerous ways to get support, such as, but not limited to:
Individual therapy, group therapy/programs, parenting groups, one on one coaching and supportive friends and family.
Every time I've felt overwhelmed, hopeless and helpless as a parent, getting help was the game changer for my parenting.
You're not meant to do parenting alone!
Having someone or a group of parents that understand what you're going through makes ALL the difference in life.
In going through my most challenging parenting seasons, whenever I reached out for help, I instantly felt heard, understood and NOT ALONE.
I promise you that someone else on this planet is going through or has gone through something similar to what you're experiencing.
Don't suffer or struggle alone.
➡️ I started my private Facebook group called: Moms Supporting Teen Mental Health Together for this very reason. I wanted a caring and supportive community and environment where moms/caregivers would feel heard, valued and understood.
➡️ I was also recently on an amazing podcast called: The Teen Anxiety Maze, hosted by my friend, Cynthia Coufal.
On this podcast, I share my journey about reaching out for help and how getting support was life-changing for me during this challenging time in my parenting journey.
I also share the importance of prioritizing your own self-care. You can't care for others if you're constantly overwhelmed, exhausted and burned out. I found this out the hard way!
💎 A book that I'm reading now and enjoying: The Parenting Map: Step-by-Step Solutions to Consciously Create the Ultimate Parent-Child Relationship, by Dr. Shefali.
I love reading parenting or any books that get me to question why I'm parenting the way I am and look at things differently with a new perspective and understanding. This book has you do a lot of work about recognizing and becoming aware of how you were parented and how it's affecting your current parenting.
Thanks for reading friends,
